Would you like to protect your slim, high gabions from tipping over? Our practical fence posts help you to safely set up and stabilize your gabions. The posts made of 2mm thick hot-dip galvanized square tube can be used as an anchoring element to prevent tipping. They have a cross section of 4 cm x 4 cm and can therefore be used particularly well for our gabions with a mesh of 5 cm x 5 cm. The top end has a plastic cap; the lower end is open.
The length of the fence post required depends on the size of the gabion and the local soil conditions. It should be chosen so that the post can be set in concrete approx. 60 - 80 cm, i.e. in a frost-proof area. The length of the visible post should now be at least two thirds of the gabion height.
After you have set your post in concrete to the appropriate depth, the gabion is placed over the post. Do you already have a foundation? Alternatively, you can also dowel the fence posts onto your existing foundation using our matching post shoes. The basket does not need to be attached to the posts. By filling it with stones, the posts are covered and wedged together so that the gabion cannot tip over.
We recommend two posts per meter. For individual elements, there should also be at least two posts per meter.
